What does “We the People” mean to you?
As the United States celebrates its 250th year, (Un)Known Project invites you to reimagine the preamble of the Constitution through your own voice, your own truth, and your own lived experience.
For generations, those words have defined who belongs. This anthology asks a different question: who has been left out, and what would it look like to write ourselves back in?
We are seeking original poems and prose that respond to, challenge, or re-envision the preamble. This is an opportunity to reflect on justice, freedom, belonging, and the future we are still fighting to build as we consider what 250 years of this nation have meant and what the next 250 could become.
Please submit your work for consideration in our upcoming anthology.
