Clone of 2025-26 application

About the selection progress:

Each year, up to 40 Hoosiers are selected to participate in this free, volunteer-operated program. To qualify, you must be between the ages of 21 and 40, be an Indiana resident, and be a member of the Democratic Party in good standing. Applications must be submitted by June 30, 2026, to be considered.
A group of past Emerging Leaders joins the Emerging Leaders Project, Inc. board of directors to form a selection committee to review all applications and score them accordingly.
Of the 25 total seats in each class, 2 applicants will be selected from each of Indiana's 9 Congressional Districts. The remaining participants will be selected at large. The goal of the selection process is to assemble a diverse class of future leaders.
Applicants will be notified by mid-August by the selection committee members. Due to the limited space in the program, we encourage those not selected to reapply for future classes.

Requirements:

This is a highly competitive program. If you apply, please confirm that you are available to attend ALL scheduled conferences; otherwise, please do not apply and deny another person this opportunity.
While specific dates have not been set, four meetings will occur (on Fridays) in late September 2026, December 2026 (tied to the Democratic Party's Holiday Party), March 2027, and June 2027 (tied to the Democratic Party's Hoosier Hospitality Dinner). When possible, ELP sessions will be aligned with party events.
All sessions will be held in Indianapolis. Participants will be responsible for providing their own transportation and for any parking expenses. ELP will provide lunches.
