The Guild's Role in Today's Industry: A Survey On What You Need Now
This survey collects data from MNCBG Brewery, Brewpub, and Brewery in Planning Members on what they need from their membership association going forward. It was developed as part of a Listening Session held during the 2026 MN Brewers Conference (April 10), but it can be taken by any 2026 MNCBG Member staff.

Why These 5 Questions?

Goal of Survey: Collect info to better understand what you want and need out of your Guild going forward.

Why?: The industry has changed dramatically since 2020, in different ways for different businesses. Your Guild needs to adapt to serve you better in this new market and industry landscape.

What are the biggest challenges and changes you see facing the industry today, and over the next 5 years?
Consider: Immediate pressure on the industry. What are you planning for? What keeps you up at night? Where do you see opportunity or positive change? What do you want the Guild to prepare for?
Where do you see the most value in our current programming? Our Four Service Pillars are: Promotion, Advocacy, Education, & Community.
Consider: Past, present, and future? What is important to keep strong, and what is less so? Where should the Guild be leading, vs supporting? What are we missing?
The Guild’s core function is to facilitate big, industry-wide collaborative efforts to improve the market for all. We organize what one, or a handful of breweries, cannot accomplish alone. Brewery engagement & collaboration is crucial for this to work. What are the barriers?
Consider: Do you feel aware of and connected to your Guild? Why or why not? How can we reach you with important information most reliably? Are there elements of the Guild that keep you unengaged or frustrated? If we ask you to volunteer time, resources, or capacity to broader projects, what would make it worth your while?
