Hi,
Thanks for your interest in being a food vendor at the Don River Dash 2026!
We’re looking for a great mix of quality food options and vendors who bring a positive attitude and a professional approach. Last year, we had around 700 people camping at the showgrounds (competitors and crews), plus 1,500+ visitors at our Friday night community event, and strong crowds at our Telegraph Road trackside spectator area across the weekend. While we can’t guarantee numbers or queue lengths, a unique, well-planned menu and efficient service will set you up for success.
We want all our vendors to do well at the event, so we may need to cap the number of food vendors in each category. Submission of an application does not automatically guarantee a site.
Key focus areas for 2026
Friday Night Rush
Expect large crowds at the community event. Quick-serve items (pre-cooked or pre-prepared where possible) will help keep queues moving and maximise sales.
Minimal Waste
Compact, bin-friendly packaging is encouraged to help manage rubbish and keep the venue clean.
Local Produce
Where practical, we encourage vendors to use locally sourced ingredients (such as tomatoes, corn, capsicum, seafood and other regional produce) to support local suppliers and sustainability.
Fees
In 2026 we are introducing a flexible fee structure, based on the type of food you retail, and the sites and days you are attending. Details of these fees are shown on the Selections pages. We believe this will result in fairness for all.
