Endorsement Policy
Congratulations on your run for office! D4 Women in Action proudly endorses candidates who reflect our values, champion our communities, and are ready to lead with courage and integrity. We back leaders who will boldly advocate for the issues that matter most, policies that advance equity, protect our rights, and create opportunities for our communities to thrive. When we endorse, it means we believe in their vision, trust their leadership, and are committed to amplifying their voices and driving voters to the polls.
Endorsement Policy Statement
D4 Women in Action prioritizes strategic endorsements that align with our values and maximize impact in general elections. As a standard practice, we do not endorse candidates during primary elections unless there are extraordinary or compelling circumstances. This approach allows us to remain focused on building long-term power and supporting candidates where our endorsement can be most effective.
We currently endorse:
1. Federal offices (U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives)
2. Big city mayor: Mayor of a city with 250,000+ residents or case by case
3. State-level offices (Governor, Lieutenant Governor, statewide elected positions)
What an endorsement could include from D4 Women in Action:
- Public announcement on our website, email list, and social media platforms
- Strategic amplification to ensure our members and networks know who we’re backing and have opportunities to support through donations, volunteering, or GOTV efforts.
Disclaimer: Voter outreach efforts are conducted by D4 Women in Action on behalf of the organization and are not coordinated with any campaign in compliance with applicable laws.
