Community Health Corps Montana 2026 - 2027 Member Application
Thank you for your interest in serving with Community Health Corps Montana.
Community Health Corps Montana (CHCM) engages individuals in meaningful service to Montana through community partnerships to advance sustainable solutions to the state’s most pressing health challenges. Members serve alongside organizations to strengthen mental health and substance use supports, improve chronic disease prevention and management, and address social factors that impact health (such as access to food, housing, and transportation).
CHCM’s second program year will run from September 14, 2026, to July 30, 2027, with each member completing a minimum 1,700-hour term of service (~40 hours/week).
Members receive a biweekly living allowance of $1,280, health insurance at no cost, access to the members' assistance program, programmatic training, cohort and individual support, and a $7,395 Segal Education Award upon successful completion of service.
This application helps us understand your interests, experiences, and readiness to serve. It is also the first step in a multi-stage selection and placement process.
Selection & Placement Process
Due to strong interest and a limited number of member positions, CHCM uses a multi-step selection and matching process.
Phase 1: Application Review & Initial Screening
Applications are reviewed by CHCM staff to identify candidates who demonstrate alignment with the program, readiness for service, and follow-through.
Selected applicants will be invited to a phone screening interview with CHCM staff beginning in June.
Phase 2: Host Site Matching (Rolling Placement)
Candidates who move forward will be invited to interview with a potential host site.
Member placements occur on a rolling basis and depend on:
- Alignment between your interests, strengths, and available host site roles
- Timeliness and responsiveness in scheduling and completing interviews
- Overall readiness to commit to the program
Because placements are made as strong matches are identified, applicants who are responsive, prepared, and engaged early in the process are more likely to secure a placement.
CHCM anticipates receiving more qualified applicants than available member positions. Once all positions are filled, additional applicants may not be placed.
Phase 3: Onboarding & Service Launch
Once matched with a host site, CHCM will guide members through onboarding, training, and AmeriCorps enrollment to support a successful start to service.
