This Code of Conduct is designed to create a safe, respectful, and fun environment for all players, coaches, officials, and families.
1. Respect
- I will respect my teammates, coaches, officials, opponents, and myself at all times.
- I will use kind, appropriate language—no bullying, teasing, or put‑downs.
- I will respect all facilities, equipment, and property.
2. Sportsmanship
- I will play by the rules and accept officials’ decisions without arguing or complaining.
- I will win with humility and lose with grace.
- I will encourage my teammates and never blame others for mistakes or losses.
3. Effort and Attitude
- I will arrive on time, prepared, and ready to participate.
- I will give my best effort in practices and games.
- I will listen to my coaches, follow instructions, and keep a positive attitude.
4. Safety and Conduct
- I will follow all safety rules, including wearing appropriate gear.
- I will not engage in fighting, rough play, or dangerous behavior.
- I will not use alcohol, tobacco, vaping products, or drugs.
- I will tell a coach or trusted adult if I feel unsafe or see unsafe behavior.
5. Communication and Social Media
- I will use phones and devices only when allowed by my coach.
- I will not post hurtful, harassing, or inappropriate content about teammates, coaches, officials, or opponents on social media.
- I understand that online behavior can affect my place on the team.
6. Attendance and Commitment
- I will let my coach know as soon as possible if I must miss a practice or game.
- I understand that consistent attendance affects playing time and team roles.
- I will support my teammates whether I am on the court or on the bench.
7. Parents/Guardians (if applicable)
- I will let the coaches coach, the officials officiate, and the players play.
- I will model respectful behavior from the sidelines (no yelling at officials, coaches, or players).
- I will address concerns with coaches calmly and privately, at an appropriate time.
8. Consequences I understand that not following this Code of Conduct may result in:
- A verbal warning
- Temporary removal from practice or games
- A meeting with parents/guardians and coaches
- Suspension or removal from the team or program
