Join us for a weekend of creativity, connection, and community at Family Arts Camp, held at Camp Gilwell. Spend the weekend in a rustic scout camp enjoying arts and crafts, campfire singalongs, silly skits, and hot chocolate around the fire.

A daily buffet of workshops and activities will be offered to attend at your discretion - everything from creative arts to outdoor adventures. Do it all, or simply relax, walk the forest trails, and enjoy the river. There is plenty of space to play, rest, and connect.

This year, we are leaning more deeply into a community-led model.
We invite campers of all ages to help co-create the experience, whether by offering a workshop, hosting a creative station, helping with camp operations, or volunteering in small ways throughout the weekend. Kids are welcome to participate in age-appropriate helping roles too.

Meals include snacks and beverages on Friday evening, three hearty and healthy meals on Saturday, and a Mother’s Day brunch on Sunday. Plates and cutlery are provided. Meals will include a variety of vegetables, dairy, and meat options, with some alternatives available. Those with specific dietary needs are encouraged to bring additional food to supplement.

Accommodation options include limited space in rustic bunkhouse cabins (bring your own sleeping gear), as well as plenty of beautiful campsites for tents, vans, or RVs. The camp has hot and cold running water, a washroom with a shower, and several outhouses. This is a rustic camp so expect to get a little grubby!

As this event takes place at a Scouts Canada facility, alcohol and drugs are not permitted on site.

    Special Mother’s Day Event:
We’re excited to welcome Fred Penner for a special Sunday concert! This event will be open to additional guests, and families are welcome to invite friends and extended family to join for the Mother’s Day celebration. Tickets for extra attendees will be available.

Check-in begins after 4:00 pm on Friday.
Check-out is Sunday afternoon following brunch and the closing concert.

**Children remain the responsibility of their parents/caregivers at all times.**
**Friendly, well-behaved dogs are welcome at the owner’s discretion.**
