Volunteers will serve at a public school, assisting teachers and staff prepare for the new school year.
For Bellevue elementary and middle schools Jubilee Service Day is on Saturday, August 29 from 8am to 12pm.
For Cougar Ridge and Sunset elementary schools Jubilee Service Day is on Saturday August 22 from 8am to 12pm.
Teachers and staff will be present to guide you. Tasks will vary but could include organizing, decorating, arranging classrooms and more. There will also be outdoor tasks such as trimming bushes or weeding at most schools. There are lighter duty and sit-down jobs available. No special skills are needed. Just come ready to show the school staff how much you care. All ages are welcome to serve and children 12 and under need to be with an adult.
There are no home site volunteer opportunities on Service Day this year. Volunteer service to homes is now known as “Jubilee in the Community.” It takes place from April to October and has grown to serve over 100 home owners each year.
