  • Visual Arts Mississauga (VAM) invites artists and artisans to participate in ART IN THE PARK 2026. This unique art fair allows artists the opportunity to exhibit and sell their work in the splendor of Riverwood and Visual Arts Mississauga’s Art Centre. Guests also enjoy talented local musicians throughout the day and select food vendors.

    Art In The Park

    Saturday, September 19 - Sunday, September 20 from 10am - 4pm

    Note: Applying as a vendor does not guarantee acceptance into ART IN THE PARK. Applicants will be notified of their application status on May 25, 2026.

  • Conditions of Entry

    • All works for display and sale must be original to the participating artist and not assisted, imported, or manufactured by others. However, prints of original artwork created by the exhibiting artist is permitted.
    • Vendors must be present at their designated booth for the event or have it supervised. 
    • It is up to the vendor to price their work. Past vendors sold the most pieces in the $20-$50 price range and $50-$100 price range.
    • This a rain or shine event: entry/booth fees are non-refundable including due to inclement weather or other conditions.
    • Vendors will be selected based on merit, with a limit to the number of vendors for each type of item/craft. Priority will be given to Mississauga residents.
    • Payment of booth fees will only be required if the vendor’s application is successful.
    • Booth locations are allocated once payment has been processed and spaces and/or additional requests will be prioritized in booked sequence.

  • *Emerging Artists are defined as: Vendors (any age) who are 5 years or less into their professional art/artisan career, OR, artists under 30 years old.

    Prices include coverage of Special Event License fees required by the City of Mississauga as of May 2015.

  • Booth Inclusions

  • VAM will provide:

    • Each booth with one 6' table and a chair
    • *Note that: White Studio booths for emerging artists are half tables, splitting one 6' table with another artist
    • WiFi is avalable for indoor booths. WiFi is not available for the lawn or barn booths.

    Vendor to provide:

    • Table cloths or covers are recommended to best present your work
    • Cash and carry procedures, payment terminal and security of their cash boxes etc. 
    • (Optional) Bring own furniture to use within their booth space and forfeit those supplied by VAM.
    • Pre-order booth options with your Application Form. Please do not request items on the day of the event.
    • Lawn vendors are responsible for providing their own tent – sand bags or water bottles are required to weight the tent down. The lawn has an underground irrigation system so tent pegging is not permitted. Maximum tent size is 10ftx10ft.  
    • Interior vendors are not required to have a booth cover.
  • Set Up & Take Down Timing

  • Vendors accepted into ART IN THE PARK will be required to adhere to the following schedule: 

    Art In The Park Day 1: Saturday, September 19 from 10 - 4pm 

    Set Up (Art Centre & Barn) Friday, September 18 from 2pm - 7pm 
    Set Up (Lawn Booth) Saturday, September 19 from 7am - 9:30 am 
    Take Down  Saturday, September 19 from 4pm - 5pm

     

    Art In The Park Day 2: Sunday, September 20 from 10 - 4pm

    Set Up (Art Centre & Barn) Saturday, September 19 from 5:30-9pm
    Set up (Lawn Booth) Sunday, September 20 from 7am - 9:30am
    Take Down  Sunday, September 20 from 4pm - 5pm
  • Application Checklist & Entry Deadline

  • Deadline for application is May 11 by 11:59 pm. Completed vendor applications must include the following information:

    • An accurately and clearly completed Application Form
    • 3-5 quality images representing your work to be sold (JPG format and true to likeness of items). If you will sell multiple mediums i.e. painting and jewellery, please submit images that represent each of them.
    • An Artist’s bio (max 150 words)
    • An image or illustration of what your booth will look like – please indicate if you have tabletop displays, would like to use our wall hanging system, will be bringing spotlights, have a full cage for display, etc. This information will best allow the committee to determine the appropriateness of your booth placement.

    Applications received that are missing any of the above information will be considered incomplete and won’t be submitted to the committee for review. Accepted applicants must submit full payment by June 19 at 4 pm.

  • Promotions & Advertising

  • Visual Arts Mississauga reserves the right to use any participant’s entry images as well as photos taken before, during and at take-down of the event for current and future promotions of ART IN THE PARK. VAM will promote the event through posters at various locations throughout the greater Mississauga area and will make use social media, and print (where available). In previous years, we've had over 1500 attendees. Last year (2025), the two day festival had approx. 3,000 visitors. To make the event as successful as possible, VAM encourages all artists to extend invitations to their customer and contact lists as well. Artists are encouraged to distribute business cards and/or promotional items to visitors to ART IN THE PARK.

    If accepted as a vendor, I understand it is my responsibility to sign and accept formal Terms and Conditions, abide by the schedule provided, and pay all required booth fees by the required deadline in order to secure my spot.
