Based on the type of outdoor based area you want resurfaced you should have a underlay thickness of the following:
the thickness of the slabs plus 35mm for a layer os sand plus another 18mm for the slabs to be level with the turf. if heavier loads you want hardcore to a depth of 75-100mm in additiona to the sand ------ dry mortar mix of 1 pasrt cement 3 part sand to fill gaps
Based on the Medium to Large area of your structure the concrete base thickness (m) should be:
Volume of Ground to excavate for a standard base size
ispose of calculation based on width, length, and height - this will be are of structure plus x either side plus 100mm - comment could be 50-100mm substrate but this calculatoror is based on 100mm
Volume of substrate for tile laying.
