This petition is in SUPPORT of the local Workforce Development Boards of West Virginia regarding the WIOA State Plan 2024-2027 Mid-Cycle Update. We oppose the proposed waiver authorizing the State to operate as a single statewide workforce development area. This change would negatively impact our region by eliminating local input and diminishing assistance to rural residents. Additionally, this proposal would adversely effect timely responsiveness and local service delivery to our individual and business customers.
