Planet on Screen: A Narrative Masterclass is a professional development workshop for Canadian film and television creatives who want to explore strategies to integrate our climate reality into scripted content in ways that feel authentic, entertaining and true to your creative vision.

Built for writers, producers and creatives working in scripted film and television, this workshop moves beyond awareness into application, offering practical tools for climate-aware storytelling that feels compelling.

    Together, we explore:

    • How to work with the reality that the climate crisis touches everything and everyone
    • How to weave environmental themes into your narrative, character development, tone, and world building without lecturing
    • How to find the comedy, tension, and humanity inside climate-aware storytelling that resonates with audiences

Please bring your laptops to the Planet on Screen Workshop.

Developed and presented by Producing for the Planet, featuring industry professionals working at the frontlines of storytelling.
