We are so excited to be working with Read NZ Te Pou Muramura to deliver the Children’s Book Week: Official Reading Guide. This initiative by Read NZ is all about getting our tamariki excited about reading and celebrating the incredible children’s books made by NZ writers and publishers.

The Guide will be a 16-page, A5, full colour catalogue, full to the brim with the very best kids’ books currently on the market. It will also include a page on the NZ Book Awards for Children and Young Adults 2026 finalists, a colouring page, an activity sheet, and competitions to enter.

KEY DATES

15 May 2026 - order deadline to vote in title selection

5 June 2026 - branded and 'own price' order deadline

26 June 2026 - unbranded order deadline

13 July 2026 - guides delivered to stores

15-21 August 2026 - Aotearoa NZ Children's Book Week
