Columbia Basin Allied Arts invites artists, makers, performers, and creative educators to share their talents at Arts Quest through interactive demonstrations, workshops, and hands-on activities.
We are looking for engaging experiences that inspire creativity, encourage participation, and allow guests of all ages to explore the arts in a fun and meaningful way.
What You Need to Know:
- Artist Compensation: $350 (that’s right, we’re paying YOU!)
- Event time: 45-60 minute activity between 8 AM & 1 PM
- Deadline to apply: July 15, 2025
Artists must provide:
A demonstration, small group hands-on workshop or larger general activity for Arts Quest guests:
- Demonstrations should include a review of materials, as well as how to start the project and end the project (sometimes, like with weaving, the middle can be assumed to be much the same - so bring two projects, one to start and one to finish). Ideally, the finished project will be donated back to Columbia Basin Allied Arts! But this is not required.
- Artist-led Workshops should include enough materials for a specified group (recommended 5-15 people).
- Large Group Activities (for instance, we had wool felting soap in an assembly-line type setting one year) should include enough materials for approximately 100 (for this, artists can request additional funding for materials). Examples of finished or similar projects should be included by the artist, as well.
Allied Arts will provide:
- Chairs and covered tables under our big tent.
- Marketing leading up to the event.
- Payment by check in mail to desired address within two weeks of events.
Artists will be chosen based on the desire for a diverse offering of demonstrations, hands-on workshops and general activities… as well as medium/craft.
Artists will be notified of selection by July 20.
