SHAMBHALA FARM X TIM FELDMANN RETREAT
PARTICIPANT WAIVER, RELEASE OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, AND MEDIA RELEASE
Retreat Dates: October 31–November 4, 2026
Location: Woodstock, Vermont
By signing this Agreement, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to the following terms.
1. Parties Covered by this Agreement
This Agreement is entered into for the benefit of Shambhala Farm Yoga, Nichole Lee, Matthew Tashjian, and Tim Feldmann, along with their respective owners, employees, contractors, teachers, assistants, volunteers, agents, representatives, photographers, videographers, caterers, property owners, and affiliates (collectively, the “Released Parties”).
2. Nature of Activities
I understand that the Shambhala Farm x Tim Feldmann retreat includes Mysore-style Ashtanga yoga practice, yoga instruction, hands-on assists, meditation, philosophy study, group discussion, walking and time outdoors, shared meals including daily catered plant-based breakfast and one group dinner, time spent in studio spaces and surrounding environments, and other retreat-related activities, both scheduled and unscheduled. I understand that my participation in all aspects of the retreat is voluntary.
3. Acknowledgment and Assumption of Risk
I acknowledge that participation in yoga, movement, outdoor activities, group events, and travel involves inherent and sometimes unpredictable risks. These risks may include physical injury such as muscle strain, joint injury, aggravation of existing conditions, falls, dizziness, illness, allergic reactions, emotional distress, or other unforeseen harm, as well as risks associated with walking, weather, shared spaces, food consumption, and interaction with other participants. I understand that I am solely responsible for my own physical and mental wellbeing and that I knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation, whether known or unknown.
4. Health Representation
I represent that I am physically, mentally, and emotionally capable of participating in this retreat. I understand that the Released Parties are not providing medical care, and I agree to monitor my own condition and participate within my own limits. I will communicate any relevant injuries, conditions, or limitations, and I understand that I am solely responsible for deciding whether to participate in any activity.
5. Emergency Medical Care
In the event of illness or injury, I authorize the Released Parties to seek emergency medical care on my behalf if necessary, and I accept full responsibility for any resulting medical costs.
6. Food, Meals, and Allergies
I understand that meals provided during the retreat include daily catered plant-based breakfast and one group dinner. I acknowledge that the Released Parties cannot guarantee that food will be free from allergens or cross-contact, and I accept full responsibility for communicating any allergies or dietary restrictions and for deciding what I choose to consume.
7. Personal Responsibility and Expenses
I understand that I am responsible for arranging and covering my own lodging, transportation, additional meals, and personal expenses, as well as for my personal belongings at all times. The Released Parties are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
8. Release and Waiver of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I hereby release, waive, and discharge the Released Parties from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, damages, or causes of action arising out of or related to my participation in the retreat, including those resulting from negligence. I agree not to bring any legal action against the Released Parties for any injury, loss, or damage sustained in connection with the retreat.
9. Indemnification
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from my own actions, conduct, or participation in the retreat.
10. Media Release
I understand that photography, video, and audio recording may occur during the retreat. By signing this Agreement, I grant the Released Parties the unrestricted, perpetual right to capture and use my image, likeness, and voice for promotional and marketing purposes, including on websites and social media, without compensation or approval. I waive any right to inspect or approve such materials and release the Released Parties from any claims related to their use.
11. Participant Conduct
I agree to conduct myself in a respectful and responsible manner throughout the retreat. I understand that I may be asked to leave without refund if my behavior is deemed unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate.
12. Governing Law and Severability
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Vermont. If any portion of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in full force and effect.
13. Entire Agreement and Voluntary Execution
I acknowledge that this Agreement represents the entire understanding between myself and the Released Parties, and that I am signing it voluntarily and without coercion.
