Visit Haywood is inviting local businesses to be part of the SATW Convention, which will welcome over 250 travel writers, editors, photographers, content creators, and their guests to Haywood County in October 2026!

The following opportunities are designed to showcase your products, connect you directly with media, and help bring the Haywood story to life.

Participation ranges from booth spaces at downtown conference events, hosted product placements, and opportunities for in-kind contributions (non-monetary contributions of goods or services).

Taste of Haywood

Sponsored Snack Breaks | October 5–6, 2026

Taste of Haywood is a series of short snack breaks during the SATW Convention, giving local businesses the chance to share their products directly with travel writers, editors, and content creators. This is a hosted experience––you will be onsite to speak to your brand’s story and build rapport with attending media.

This opportunity is not open to breweries and bars.

Proposed Snack or Beverage Offering Description

Sample snacks may be something like locally-made granola, sodas, baked goods, coffee, tea, etc.

Main Street Block Party

Tuesday, October 6 | 5:00–9:00 PM

Waynesville’s Main Street will come alive with live music, local makers, an active Social District, and a vibrant street festival atmosphere. Though this block party is made for the SATW Convention, the public will be encouraged to attend and join the fun. The street will be closed for this interactive event designed to showcase the creativity and personality of Haywood County and Western North Carolina.

Artist and craft vendors, this is your time to shine! Priority will be given to artists and craft vendors offering interactive activities and/or live demonstrations.

Closing Night Vendor Market

Wednesday, October 7 | 6:00–8:30 PM

The SATW Convention concludes with a spirited closing celebration at HART Theatre in Waynesville. Attendees will network while shopping a local vendor market in the grassy area next to the theatre and enjoying bites from a variety of food trucks in the parking area. Beloved bluegrass band Upstream Rebellion will take the stage at 8 p.m. for a high-energy concert to wrap the event on a high note.

This event will be set up like a mini farmers market.

Welcome Bag Contributions

Each SATW attendee will receive a welcome bag upon arrival, making for a great chance to share a small item that reflects your business and its tie to Haywood County. Businesses must provide 250 items for the attendee welcome bags. Travel guides and other printed collateral will not be accepted.
