ATSC is USTA Alabama's newest addition to growing the game of tennis in Alabama. Our mission is to retain as many new, current, and past tennis players in a fun environment on the tennis court. Yes! We said past tennis players, we are introducing the Legends League to our Social Tennis Club. A category made specially for our 60 and over tennis players, to keep them on the courts! Players will join the Alabama Tennis Social Club and from there they can register for the Leagues on Serve Tennis. Serve Tennis will make their match schedule, tell them who their opponent for the week is and they will also report the score in Serve Tennis. This league/club is meant to be relaxed, fun, and social!
To begin, all leagues will be doubles. We also, are only starting with beginner tennis leagues (Ready. Set. Social) and Legend Leagues. I will update when it's introduced to all levels when avaliable. Players will sign up with a doubles partner or alone and will be paired with a partner in Serve Tennis. They will play with the same person for the duration of the league.
As a host, you have the option to host 4 or 6 week leagues. Your duty as a host is to reserve the courts for the matches (1.5-2 hour time slot) and update the particpants about weather updates or court closures. You also have the option to host and run a Alabama Tennis Social Club event to members in your city and across the state. These events can include mixers, tournaments, clinics, cardio tennis and even organized match play days, etc.
Payout for 4 week leagues is $20 per player and for 6 weeks is $30 per player. If you're hosting an event please put your desired amount for the event in this form.
If a pro is to be directly paid for an event, then a W-9 must be completed and returned to jerriec@alabamata.com in order to receive payment. We can also pay a facility or CTA.
