Philadelphia Museum of Art

The Philadelphia Museum of Art invites proposals from qualified consultants to serve as Principal Investigator (PI) for a one‑year planning initiative supported by the Lilly Endowment Religion and Cultural Institutions Initiative Planning Grant. This project represents the museum’s first institution‑wide exploration of how religion and spirituality may be thoughtfully, responsibly, and inclusively integrated into the museum’s programs, exhibitions, collection research, audience engagement strategies, and community partnerships.

Interested consultants should submit a proposal that includes:

• Statement of interest and understanding of the project
• Proposed approach and methodology
• Relevant experience and qualifications (including prior work with cultural institutions, community‑engaged research, and/or religion‑related scholarship)
• Proposed project timeline and work plan
• Budget and fee structure
• Resume or CV of lead consultant and any key collaborators
• At least two relevant references
