• NHIF Grant Application – Letter of Inquiry

    The National Home Infusion Foundation (NHIF) offers a research grant of up to $10,000 for eligible NHIA provider members. This is Step 1 of your submission providing us your contact information, a Letter of Inquiry, and resume or curriculum vitae of the research coordinator or principal investigator. Proposed projects must be conducted in the United States and completed within 18 months of funding notification.

  • Before You Begin

    LOI due: June 1. Decision on LOIs: July 15. Proposals due: September 1. Funding decisions announced: November 1. The research coordinator or principal investigator must have completed the NHIA research and publication training program. Please review the requirements below before uploading documents.

    Please review the checklist below before uploading your Letter of Inquiry. The LOI is an overview of the proposed research project and should be a maximum of 1,000 words. It should include a project introduction, methods, references, timeline, and budget. The introduction should include a brief literature review, rationale for the study, research objectives, and any prespecified hypotheses. The methods section should address study design, variables, sample size, IRB requirements, and whether the research is multi-center or collaborative. The budget should be itemized and explain how grant dollars will be used. The budget and reference list are not part of the 1,000-word count. Grant funds may not be used to support the salary of the research coordinator or principal investigator.
