Thank you for your interest in the Association for Experiential Education (AEE) annual conference and scholarship program. We remain committed to providing as much assistance as we can to keep registration fees from being a barrier to conference attendance.
AEE offers scholarships to those who need financial support to attend the annual conference. Awards are based on financial need, membership status, contributions to the field, and potential to give back to the field.
All applications are reviewed by a committee and are assessed using a rubric that is aligned with specific questions that are asked below. Please make sure to provide depth to your responses.
Scholarships are funded by the donations AEE receives into the scholarship fund annually and therefore, may not cover the complete cost of registration. Scholarships are only for registration as we can not fund travel, food or lodging.
If you would like to submit your application via video you can do that within this form. If you would prefer a Zoom conversation or phone call in lieu of filling out the form or uploading a video, please contact Liz Speelman at liz.speelman@gcsu.edu to set up a time.
The scholarship application is due by July 1, 2026. All applicants will be notified of their status by July 19, 2026. Any applicant who does not receive a scholarship will be able to register at the early bird rate. Therefore please do not register for the conference until after you have heard from the scholarship committee. Refunds will not be given.
NOTES:
- Scholarships cannot be transferred.
- Previous conference scholarship recipients are not eligible for second award for five years after receiving the award.
- Please do not register for the conference until after you have heard from the scholarship committee (you will hear by July 19). Refunds will not be given if you register before receiving a scholarship.
