Our camp is dedicated to providing a safe, civil environment for all campers and staff, free from any form of harassment, intimidation, or bullying.
Definition: "Harassment, intimidation, or bullying" refers to any intentional written, verbal, or physical act that:
•Physically harms a camper/staff member or damages their belongings.
•Substantially interferes with a camper's or staff member's duties.
•Creates an intimidating or threatening camp environment through severe,persistent, or pervasive behaviors.
•Substantially disrupts daily camp operations.
Prohibited Behaviors:
•Bullying or harassment of any kind is not tolerated, regardless of race, sex, orother physical or emotional characteristics.
This includes, but is not limited to:
•Slurs, rumors, and demeaning comments
•Jokes and innuendos•Pranks and gestures
•Physical attacks and threats
•Any other written, oral, or physical actions intended to harm others.
Note: "Intentional acts" refer to the individual's willful choice to engage in the behavior, rather than the impact of their actions.
Consequences:
Any form of bullying will result in expulsion from the program.
Parent/Guardian Agreement:
As a parent/guardian, I commit to:
•Encouraging my child to respect others.
•Instructing my child not to bully or support bullying.
•Advising my child to report any bullying to Camp Staff.
