RELEASE OF LIABILITY & ASSUMPTION OF RISK
In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in events, tournaments, programs, and activities hosted by House of Hustle, I, the undersigned, acknowledge, appreciate, and agree to the following:
1. Assumption of Risk
I understand that participation in basketball tournaments and related activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to serious bodily injury, permanent disability, paralysis, and death. I acknowledge that these risks may arise from my own actions, the actions of others, or the conditions of the facility.
I knowingly and freely assume all such risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the Releasees.
2. Responsibility for Participation
I agree to comply with all rules, policies, and instructions provided by House of Hustle. If I observe any unsafe condition or behavior, I will remove myself or my participant from play and notify event staff immediately.
3. Coach / Team Responsibility
If I am registering or participating as a coach, team representative, or organizer, I acknowledge and agree that:
I am responsible for all players, team members, and associated spectators (including parents/guardians) connected to my team.
I confirm that all players are physically able to participate and have appropriate parental/guardian consent.
I assume full responsibility and liability for the conduct, safety, and supervision of my team and associated individuals at all times during the event.
I agree to ensure all participants and spectators follow event rules, facility guidelines, and staff direction.
4. Release and Indemnification
I, on behalf of myself, my team, my players, their parents/guardians, heirs, assigns, and representatives, hereby release, indemnify, and hold harmless House of Hustle, its directors, officers, staff, volunteers, sponsors, facility owners, members, managers, and affiliates (“Releasees”) from any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, or liability arising out of or related to participation in this tournament.
This includes, but is not limited to, any injury, disability, death, or loss or damage to person or property, whether caused by negligence of the Releasees or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
5. Acknowledgment
I have read this Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement, fully understand its terms, understand that I am giving up substantial rights by agreeing to it, and agree to it freely and voluntarily without any inducement.
