    Get ready for a fun, creative, and completely outdoor photography workshop this summer! Designed for kids aged 8–16, this 6-week program focuses on the fundamentals of photography and creativity, not equipment. Participants can use any device—camera, phone, or tablet—while learning how to see the world through a creative lens.

    Program Details


    Dates: July 6, 13, 20, 27 & August 3, 10
    Time: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
    Location: Outdoors (details provided upon registration)
    Cost: $65 for the full 6-week session

    Throughout the program, participants will explore:

    Using light and colour
    Composition, perception, and storytelling through images
    Capturing movement
    Basics of portrait photography

    📷 Each participant will select 3 of their favorite photos to be professionally printed and displayed.

  • I, the undersigned parent/guardian, on behalf of my child, acknowledge and agree to the following:

    1. Assumption of Risk
      I understand that participation in this outdoor photography program involves certain risks, including but not limited to slips, trips, falls, weather conditions, insect bites, and other unforeseen hazards. I voluntarily accept and assume all such risks on behalf of my child.
    2. Release of Liability
      I hereby release and discharge Westmeath Recreation, its directors, officers, employees, instructors (including Mandi Kenny and Megan Suitor), volunteers, agents, and representatives from any and all claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses, actions, and causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, injury, or damage sustained by my child while participating in the program, including any negligence on the part of the released parties, to the fullest extent permitted by the laws of the Province of Ontario.
    3. Indemnification
      I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the above-mentioned parties from any claims brought by or on behalf of my child, or arising from my child’s participation in the program.
    4. Medical Authorization
      I authorize program organizers to obtain medical treatment for my child in the event of an emergency if I cannot be reached.
    5. Acknowledgement
      I confirm that I have read and understand this agreement, and that I am signing it voluntarily.
    6. Personal Property
      I understand that my child is responsible for their own personal property, including any photography device (camera, phone, tablet, or similar), brought to the program. I acknowledge that Westmeath Recreation, its instructors, and volunteers are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.
