California Pork Producers Association Golden Opportunity Scholarship Application

The Golden Opportunity Sale is put on by the California Pork Producers Association and is held at the California Youth Ag Expo in Tulare, California, each year. Our sale not only highlights the very best gilts raised and shown in our state each year, but more importantly recognizes the hard work our youth exhibitors put into their projects. Commission money from the Golden Opportunity Sale is used to provide scholarships that are given back to the exceptional youth within California. The California Pork Producers Association will provide scholarships to qualified candidates that are either current or past CYAE swine exhibitors that are graduating high school seniors or are currently enrolled in a recognized California community college, state university, or trade school (Ages 17-25). The Golden Opportunity Scholarships will be awarded at the California Youth Ag Expo show in Tulare, CA.
Scholarship Eligibility and Requirements

Eligibility: Current or past CYAE swine exhibitors that are graduating high school seniors or are currently enrolled in a recognized community college, state university, or trade school (Ages 17-25) with a minimum GPA of 2.50. Qualified candidates must also be Members of the California Pork Producers Association. Requirements: Completed application, verification of enrollment in a community college, state university or trade school, one letter of recommendation and a copy of transcripts.
