1. Vaccination and Parasite Prevention Requirements
Client represents and warrants that, to the best of their knowledge, all pets receiving services are current on all required vaccinations as recommended by their licensed veterinarian and required by applicable law.
Required Vaccinations:
Dogs: Rabies, Leptospirosis, Bordetella, and Canine Distemper/Parvovirus (DHPP)
Cats: Rabies
Maintaining current vaccinations is a material condition of receiving services from Paw & Whisker Pet Care Services. If, at any time before or during the service period, a pet is determined to be overdue or not current on any required vaccination, the Service Provider reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to refuse, suspend, or terminate services immediately without liability.
Client further acknowledges that it is their sole responsibility to maintain their pet(s) on an appropriate veterinarian-recommended flea, tick, heartworm, and intestinal parasite prevention program. If preventative medication is due during the service period, Client is responsible for informing the Service Provider in advance and providing the necessary medication along with clear administration instructions.
While Paw & Whisker Pet Care Services maintains clean equipment and follows reasonable sanitation practices, no environment can be guaranteed to be completely free from parasites or disease vectors. Accordingly, the Service Provider makes no guarantee that a pet will not be exposed to or contract fleas, ticks, heartworms, intestinal parasites, or other parasites during or after the service period and shall not be held liable for any such exposure or infection.
Client further agrees to promptly notify the Service Provider of any known contagious illness, parasite infestation, or changes to their pet's vaccination or preventative care status prior to the start of services. The Service Provider reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate services if a pet is known or suspected to have a contagious illness or active parasite infestation that may pose a risk to other animals or the Service Provider.
2. Payment Terms
Client agrees to remit full payment for services as follows:
Single-day services: Payment due on the same day services are rendered.
Multi-day and overnight services: Payment due on the final day of services.
Invoices are issued weekly on Sundays. Accepted forms of payment include Stripe, Zelle, Venmo, and cash. Any unpaid balances may result in suspension or termination of future services at the discretion of the Service Provider.
3. Cancellation Policy
Client acknowledges receipt and acceptance of the Service Provider's cancellation policy, including any required notice periods, fees, and non-refundable deposits. Client agrees to be bound by the terms of that policy.
4. Emergency Veterinary Authorization
In the event of illness, injury, or other emergency affecting the Pet(s), Client authorizes Service Provider to obtain veterinary care as deemed reasonably necessary if Client cannot be reached in a timely manner. Client grants Service Provider authority to make decisions regarding the Pet(s)' care in good faith and in the Pet(s)' best interest.
Client agrees to be solely responsible for all veterinary costs and related expenses incurred. Should Service Provider advance payment for such services, Client agrees to reimburse all amounts in full, which may be added to the Client's invoice.
5. Communication Consent
Client consents to receive communications from Service Provider via phone call, text message (SMS), and email for purposes including, but not limited to, service updates, scheduling, and pet care notifications.
6. General Provisions
This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties with respect to the subject matter herein and supersedes any prior agreements or representations. If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas.
Extreme Weather & Emergency Conditions Policy
The health and safety of your pets and our team members are always our highest priority. In the event of extreme weather or hazardous conditions—including, but not limited to, excessive heat, flooding, severe thunderstorms, hurricanes, tropical storms, tornadoes, icy conditions, or other natural disasters—Paw & Whisker Pet Care Services reserves the right to modify, delay, shorten, reschedule, or, if necessary, cancel services when conditions are deemed unsafe.
In cases of severe weather, travel delays or temporary schedule adjustments may occur due to road closures, flooding, emergency conditions, or other circumstances beyond our control. Every reasonable effort will be made to communicate any changes as soon as possible and to ensure your pets receive care as safely and promptly as conditions allow.
Clients are responsible for preparing their home and pets for potential weather emergencies. This includes ensuring an adequate supply of food, water, medications, emergency contacts, backup power or cooling/heating plans (when applicable), and providing any special instructions that may be necessary in the event of severe weather. Clients are also responsible for communicating any additional needs or emergency procedures before hazardous weather is expected.
By signing this agreement, you acknowledge and accept that service modifications made due to extreme weather or emergency conditions are implemented solely to protect the health and safety of your pets and our team members.
Heat Safety:
When outdoor temperatures reach **between or above 80-85 degree Fahrenheit (26.7-29.5 degrees Celsius) **, daytime dog walks may be shortened to approximately 15–20 minutes to reduce the risk of heat-related illness. The remainder of the reserved visit time will be spent indoors providing enrichment activities, playtime, mental stimulation, fresh water, affection, and any other requested care to ensure your pet still receives quality attention in a safe environment.
