SEW FANCY RETREAT POLICY - REVISED JAN 1, 2026
Effective Date: January 1, 2026
Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully, as they govern all ticket purchases, event registrations, retail/ecommerce transactions, and SMS communications made with Pink Door Fabrics' Sew Fancy Retreats. By purchasing a ticket, registering for an event, placing an order, or opting into SMS notifications, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
1. Definitions
- “Sew Fancy” and "Sew Fancy Retreat" refers to Sew Fancy Retreats hosted by Pink Door Fabrics LLC, a Colorado-based company.
- “Purchaser” the individual who buys a registration ticket or product.
- “Ticket Holder” the individual attending an event (who may or may not be the original purchaser).
- “Event” any Sew Fancy or Pink Door Fabrics-organized retreat, workshop, or related activity.
- “Products” goods purchased through Pink Door Fabrics’ online or retail store.
- “Credentials” any valid means of entry or access (electronic/physical ticket, badge, code, login, or link).
2. Ticket Purchases, Transfers & Credentials (Revocable License)
- Revocable License. Credentials are a revocable, limited, non-transferable license to access the Event and may be revoked at Pink Door Fabrics sole discretion for noncompliance with these Terms or Event policies.
- Non-transferable outside Pink Door Fabrics. Any unauthorized resale or transfer is prohibited and may result in cancellation without refund.
- Non-refundable, with Pink Door Fabrics-assisted resale option. If the Purchaser cannot attend, it is the Purchaser’s responsibility to email sewfancy@pinkdoorfabrics.com in a timely manner to request Pink Door Fabrics' assistance to resell the ticket. Pink Door Fabrics will make a good-faith effort to resell; refunds are issued only if a resale occurs, minus the applicable transfer fee:
- 11–5 months before event: Full refund minus $75 transfer fee
- 4–3 months before event: Full refund minus $150 transfer fee
- 2–1 months before event: Not eligible for refund.
- 1 month–0 months before event: Not eligible for refund.
- PLEASE NOTE: You are required to provide confirmation of hotel cancellation prior to us attempting to resell your ticket.
- Refund method. If resold, refunds are issued to the original form of payment if possible, or via PayPal, Zelle, or Venmo.
3. Event Policies
- Check-In. Registration is electronic. Ticket Holder must be present at check-in.
- Age/Minors. Infants and children are not permitted without Pink Door Fabrics' prior written approval. If an exception is granted, the child’s parent/legal guardian must accompany and supervise the minor at all times and accepts full responsibility for the minor’s conduct and safety.
- Code of Conduct. Help us keep a welcoming, safe environment for all.
- Photography/Media. No professional photography, audio, or video recording unless authorized. General social posting (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) is permitted unless otherwise stated.
- Instructors/Schedule. Pink Door Fabrics may add, substitute, or withdraw instructors and make schedule changes without notice.
- Image Release. By attending, Ticket Holder grants Pink Door Fabrics permission to use their image, likeness, or voice in Event recordings, photos, or promotional materials.
- Prohibited Items/Screening. Reasonable security screenings may be conducted. Weapons, illegal substances, and hazardous items are prohibited.
- Health & Safety. Ticket Holder agrees to comply with Pink Door Fabrics’ posted Health & Safety Guidelines.
- Wait List: We do have a wait list for each retreat and utilize this to fill spots. You can not enroll other people on the wait list or hold spots for others; each person must enroll themselves. We move through the list from first submission to most recent. Duplicate submissions will be ignored.
- Event Information: We do our best to provide all applicable helpful information prior to the retreat; this can include travel info, weather, Colorado elevation tips, supplies needed, costs for parking and more. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of the information if it changes or is modified and encourage you to double check pricing with hotels and restaurants as well as mask requirements and reservation requirements prior to your arrival.
4. Removal or Ban (Post-Entry Authority)
Pink Door Fabrics may deny admission, remove, or ban any person without refund for failure to comply with these Terms, Event policies, staff instructions, or for unsafe, harassing, disruptive, or otherwise unbecoming conduct, all in Pink Door Fabrics' sole discretion.
5. Event Cancellations & Force Majeure (No Refund Obligation)
Pink Door Fabrics reserves the right to cancel or postpone the Event, or any part of the Event, on limited or no notice, in Pink Door Fabrics' sole discretion. In the event of a cancellation or postponement of the Event, Pink Door Fabrics shall not be responsible or liable for any costs, damages, fees, expenses, or other compensation associated with the Event, including but not limited to travel or lodging.
If an Event is canceled or postponed due to circumstances beyond Pink Door Fabrics' reasonable control (force majeure, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, pandemics, labor disputes, or power failures), Pink Door Fabrics is not obligated to refund any portion of the ticket price. Pink Door Fabrics will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the Event and, if possible, apply existing tickets to the rescheduled Event. However, this is not guaranteed and remains at Pink Door Fabrics' sole discretion.
6. Assumption of Risk, Communicable Disease Waiver & Liability
- Assumption of Risk. Ticket Holder voluntarily assumes all risks incidental to participation in the Event, including personal injury, illness, or property damage.
- Communicable Disease. By attending, Ticket Holder acknowledges the inherent risk of exposure to communicable diseases (including COVID-19) in any public setting and voluntarily assumes all related risks and agrees to follow applicable health directives and Event requirements.
- Personal Property. Pink Door Fabrics is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged belongings.
- Limitation of Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pink Door Fabrics' total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the Purchaser for the ticket.
- Indemnity. Ticket Holder agrees to indemnify and hold Pink Door Fabrics harmless from claims arising from their participation or violation of these Terms.
- “As-Is” Disclaimer. The Event is provided “as-is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
7. Attendee Incidentals & Expenses
Purchasers and attendees are solely responsible for their own incidentals and expenses, including travel, lodging, meals, internet access, shipping or payment platform fees, and personal devices/supplies.
8. Retail & Ecommerce Purchases
- Payment. Prices are in USD; applicable sales tax will be added. Accepted methods: credit/debit card.
- Shipping. Orders process within 2-3 business days unless there are backordered items or preordered items. Carrier timelines vary; Pink Door Fabrics is not liable for carrier delays once shipped.
- Returns/Exchanges. Unless otherwise noted, fabric and cut goods are final sale.
Product Representation. Colors may vary due to device display and photography.
9. Privacy
Information collected from Purchasers and Ticket Holders is used to process transactions and facilitate Event participation, consistent with Pink Door Fabrics' Privacy Policy.
10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado. Disputes will first be addressed through good-faith informal resolution; if unresolved, they shall be submitted to mediation or arbitration in Frederick, Colorado.
11. Authority & Reservation of Rights
Pink Door Fabrics retains sole authority over Event programming, scheduling, operations, and access control. Pink Door Fabrics reserves all rights not expressly granted in these Terms and may take any reasonable action necessary to protect the Event, participants, staff, and property.
12. Updates to Terms
Pink Door Fabrics may update or modify these Terms at any time. The most current version will be posted on the website. Continued use of tickets, registrations, purchases, or SMS services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. SMS Terms & Conditions
- SMS Opt-In Consent. By opting in, you expressly consent to receive recurring automated marketing and informational SMS messages (e.g., order updates, event reminders, promotions) from Pink Door Fabrics at the phone number you provide. SMS consent is separate from email consent and is required before Pink Door Fabrics sends any marketing texts.
- Message & Data Rates May Apply. Message frequency varies by user. Standard carrier rates apply.
- Sending Window. To minimize disruption, Pink Door Fabrics endeavors to send SMS between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. (your local time).
- No Cold Texting. Pink Door Fabrics only texts contacts who have expressly opted in. We do not use purchased, rented, or third-party lists for SMS outreach.
- Opt-Out / Help. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any SMS. For help, reply HELP or contact orders@pinkdoorfabrics.com. Opt-out requests are honored promptly.
- Consent Recordkeeping. Pink Door Fabrics maintains verifiable records of SMS consent, including date/time and the form or mechanism used to opt in.
- Number Ownership. You represent that you are the account holder or customary user of the number provided, and you agree to notify Pink Door Fabrics if you change or deactivate your number.
- Carrier Disclaimer. Participating carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Privacy. Data collected through the SMS program is used in accordance with Pink Door Fabrics’ Privacy Policy.
- Territory. U.S. recipients only unless otherwise stated.
