The purpose of National Team Funding is to provide financial assistance to WA athletes and coaches who are selected to represent Australia as part of Gymnastics Australia National Teams.
This funding applies to National Team selections across all gymsports and all competition levels. Funding is available for both athletes and coaches who have been officially selected by Gymnastics Australia to represent Australia at international competitions or tours as part of a National Team. This funding does not cover State Team selections, training camps or, domestic competitions.
Funding allocation is determined by the level of competition an athlete or coach is selected to attend, grouped according to the Competition Groupings.

Funding will be paid directly to the successful applicant within a reasonable timeframe after their return from travel, subject to all eligibility requirements being met and documentation being provided.
Athletes under the age of 18 will have funding paid to their nominated parent or guardian. Where a coach is funded by their club to attend a National Team tour, any Gymnastics WA funding approved will be paid directly to the club rather than the individual coach.
To be considered for National Team funding, eligible athletes and coaches must submit a completed application form within four weeks of receiving official notification of their National Team selection from Gymnastics Australia.
