Accolade Community Theatre Audition Notice
The Entire American Revolution (In 40 Minutes or Less)
By Eddie McPherson
Directed By: Stephanie Kenney
Happy 250th Birthday America! Let’s throw a “Dinner-theatre birthday party.”
Flying through the major points of America’s quest for independence, this fast-and-loose comedy plays like a highlight reel of history in hilarious fashion (hoop skirts and jabots included!) Will there be patriots? Absolutely! Tri-corns and popper guns? You Bet! An entire parody from Hamilton but written about George Washington because our first president just does not get enough credit? Only time will tell… but yes… that will also be in there.
From the Boston Tea Party to the Battle of Bunker Hill (Did you know it was really Breed Hill?!) to the crossing of the Delaware and onward to the British surrender at Yorktown, join us onstage for an experience you will not soon forget ;)

PARENT VOLUNTEER INVOLVEMENT
Accolade Community Theatre is a volunteer-run organization. We rely on parent involvement to help keep kids safe and ensure that our rehearsals and performances run smoothly. You will be asked to volunteer to help either load in or tear down and also for a performance or two. Participating in a play with Accolade does involve a family time commitment. Team work helps make the dream work.
