  • Nau mai, haere mai & Thank you for applying to volunteer with Pōneke Ngeru Rescue!

Our mission at Pōneke Ngeru Rescue is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome owned, stray, abandoned, and wild-born cats and kittens throughout the Greater Wellington region.

Our Adoption Centre requires help to keep it running, be it cleaning, interacting with clients or adopters, taking care of kittens/cats or other tasks. We are collecting this information for the purpose of choosing suitable volunteers, allocating volunteer duties, and maintaining a register of volunteers.
