Give your child a summer full of wonder, creativity, and faith! At Avant Christian Learning Center, we believe children were created with purpose. Our summer session weeks are designed to nurture curiosity, imagination, and character through hands-on, child-led activities, engaging stories, and fun outdoor adventures. We are a faithful, family learning community built around beauty, wonder, stewardship, and truth. Our summer sessions are intentionally designed to feel different from mainstream programming—rooted in living books, meaningful work, outdoor life, creativity, and worship. By registering, you understand this is a nature-rich, hands-on, relational learning environment where children may be outdoors, engaged in creative and physical activity, and participating in a community-centered experience grounded in Christian values.

Select your camp session(s). Please note Summer Session is 9:30am-3pm, with optional add-ons for early drop off/late pick up. A Healthy LUNCH is included in all camps, from the Garden Grub Kitchen. Summer Sessions are open for 5-12 year olds. For the Boxcar & Just So weeks we recommend 6+. *

Aesop's Fables (June 28th-July 2; Mon-Thur)

Children will explore classic Aesop’s fables through reading, discussion, and hands-on creativity. Each day, campers build puppets, work in groups, and bring stories to life through their own puppet plays. The camp ends with a fun performance showcasing their creativity and teamwork.

Boxcar Children (TWO WEEKS: July 7-10 & July 14-17, Tues-Fridays)

Give your child a summer of creativity, confidence, and real-life skills while preparing them for the future. Inspired by The Boxcar Children, this hands-on camp blends storytelling, building, and nature-based exploration with practical skills like shelter building, cooking, and teamwork. Children grow in curiosity, problem-solving, and independence—developing the resilience and creativity they need to thrive in a changing world.

Pooh Corner (July 21-24, Tues-Fri)

Step into the whimsical world of the Hundred Acre Wood! In this playful Winnie-the-Pooh inspired summer camp, children will bring their favorite forest friends to life by crafting their own clay animals, collaborating on a magical mural of the Hundred Acre Wood, and creating fun animal skits to perform together. Through hands-on creativity, storytelling, and teamwork, campers will build imagination, confidence, and connection—all while enjoying the simple charm of Pooh and his friends.

Just So Stories (August 4-7, Tues-Fri)

A creative week centered on storytelling and hands-on crafts, inspired by Just So Stories by Rudyard Kipling. Campers will spend their days making animal-themed crafts, designing their own imaginative creatures, and writing their own “Just So” stories. Through guided writing, crafts, and storytelling circles, children build creativity, expression, and a love for bringing their ideas to life.
