The Ritchie County Fair & Expo Jr Miss and Queen Pageants will be held Saturday, June 6th, 2026 at 6:00pm at the Ritchie County 4-H Grounds main building located in Harrisville, WV.
**If you are crowned, you are required to be available for The Ritchie County Fair & Expo Thursday, July 30th to Saturday, August 1st. Additionally, you are required to participate in the fair parade to be held in July.
A mandatory rehearsal will be held Friday, June 5th 2026 at 6:00pm. The rehearsal will allow for introductions, review rules/expectations, and release the next day schedule.
Contestant must be a resident of Ritchie County, WV.
Phases of Competition:
Personal Interview: Jr Miss and Queen contestants are recommended to wear a clean, stylish, and professional outfit. This should be a job interview appropriate outfit.
Jr Miss: 3 minutes
Queen: 5 minutes
On Stage Introductions: Casual Wear - Denim and T-shirt with clean close toe shoe. T-shirt is provided by the pageant and distributed pageant day. Denim can be jeans, shorts, or skirts; please avoid extremely distressed denim.
Fun Fashion: Attire should be creative and exciting to showcase Contestants personality. In this phase, contestants often wear vibrant, eye-catching outfits that can range from stylish cocktail dresses to jumpsuits. Contestant Bio recited while contestant models outfit.
Evening Gown: Formal attire, floor length gowns or formal jumpsuit. Each Jr Miss contestant will be asked 2 questions from their bio. Each Queen contestant will be asked 2 questions from their bio and 1 fishbowl question. Example questions will be provided at rehearsal.

Each contestant will be allowed ONE person to assist them throughout the day in the dressing room. This individual will get into the pageant for free. The assistant MUST be female. The helper will be provided a bracelet that must be worn for free entry and backstage access.
Any additional guests of the contestant will NOT be permitted to enter the building until doors open to the public. No other guest of the contestant will be permitted in the dressing room at any time during the pageant day; before, during, or after the pageant completion.
