Job Summary:
We are seeking passionate and dedicated teachers to join our team on a part-time basis, working two to four days per week. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children, a nurturing and loving personality, and a commitment to fostering early childhood development. Job runs from August to May, do not apply if you cannot commit to a full school year.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and lessons for preschool-aged children.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Provide individualized attention and support to meet the needs of each child.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and development.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive educational program.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
- Follow all health and safety protocols and maintain compliance with licensing regulations.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the director or supervisor.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of a high school diploma; associate's or bachelor's degree in education, early childhood education or a related field preferred.
2. Previous experience working with young children in a school or preschool.
3. Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with young children.
6. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
7. CPR and first aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
8. Must pass a background check
