Rooster HISC Open Youth Race Week 2026

3rd August – 7th August
ELIGIBILITY & ENTRY

The regatta is open to any Optimist, RS Tera Sport, RS Tera Pro, 29er, ILCA 4, ILCA 6, RS Feva XL, and RS 200 classes. Other classes may be accepted at the discretion of the organising authority. If fewer than six boats of a class are entered by the closing date for entries, the organising authority may combine classes into a handicap. All competitors shall be under the age of 21 years on 3rd August 2026.

Optimist and RS Tera Sport only may enter the Bronze Fleet, this fleet is for younger or less experienced sailors.

RS Feva XL sailors may enter the Blue Fleet (less experienced. Sailing only in the harbour) or Purple Fleet.

Important Information

The early bird rate for entries ends 10th May 2026 at Midnight. The standard entry will apply until 30th June at Midnight. Last minute entry rate from 1st of July until 2nd August at Midnight after which entries will only be accepted at the discretionof the organising authority.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR CHILDREN

Children must always be under the control of a responsible adult whilst on Club premises. The Club cannot be expected to exercise supervision or control over children whether afloat or ashore. Parents and guardians are responsible for their children's behaviour on Club premises and for ensuring that their children comply with the Club's rules and bye-laws.

MEDICAL INFORMATION

It is recommended that any competitor with a known medical condition and/or who is taking medication should record this information, together with their name, on a wristband so that in the event of an emergency this information is quickly available to the emergency services.
