This calculator provides directional estimates intended to illustrate how team friction, disengagement, burnout, and turnover can impact business performance. Results are not guarantees or financial audits and should be interpreted as modeled estimates based on workforce research and organizational performance studies.
The estimates in this calculator are informed by publicly available research and workforce data, including:
- Replacement cost estimates commonly cited by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), which indicate employee replacement costs can range from approximately 50%–200% of annual salary depending on role and seniority.
- Gallup workplace research on disengagement and lost productivity, including findings that disengagement costs the global economy trillions annually in lost productivity and performance.
- Research and reporting from the American Institute of Stress regarding the organizational costs of workplace stress, fatigue, absenteeism, turnover, and reduced productivity.
- Internal pilot and field observations from Insperai’s Strategic Personality Blueprint (SPB) team deployments, including measured reductions in conflict-related productivity disruption and improvements in collaboration and engagement.
Turnover estimates in this calculator intentionally use conservative assumptions relative to many published workforce replacement cost estimates. Most organizations underestimate the indirect operational costs of friction, disengagement, and turnover because they rarely appear as a single line item.
