  • Visit Israel: Join the St. Paul Jewish Federation’s Volunteer Trip

    We are excited to offer this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit Israel, a partnership between the St. Paul Jewish Federation, the Jewish Agency for Israel, and Birthright. We’ll see Jerusalem, visit the south, and end our time focused on agricultural volunteering in the North in the Federation’s partnership region – the Sovev Kinneret.

    Your cost for the entire trip is $975. This base price includes

    • Round-trip airfare
    • Hotels in Israel (double rooms)
    • One night hotel stay in Paris (layover, see below)
    • Transportation in Israel
    • All group activities
    • Most meals in Israel.

    Please read the following information before completing the form:

    Eligibility: 
    This trip is open to all adults 21+ who live, work, or worship in the St. Paul Jewish Federation’s service area (see below), with preference given to those who have never been to Israel or have not been to Israel in 10+ years.

    Application Process: 

    • Applications are due by June 30.
    • Staff and community leaders will review applications.
    • If we receive more applications than we have spots, a lottery system will be used.
    • Once accepted, you will be directed to complete registration through the Birthright website, including making payment, no later than July 31.


    Tentative Trip Timeline (all activities are group-based):
    Oct 14 – Departure from the U.S.
    Oct 15–17 – Jerusalem
    Oct 18 – Volunteering and touring in the South (including learning about October 7)
    Oct 18–21 – Agriculture Volunteering in the Sea of Galilee Partnership region
    Oct 21 – Evening in Tel Aviv (free time)
    Oct 22 – Return flight

    Pre and Post-Trip Program: As part of this incredible trip, we will participate in two group meetings: one pre-trip preparation session and one post-trip gathering. Attendance at these meetings is mandatory.

    Accommodations: The price includes accommodations in a double bedroom. You may upgrade to a single occupancy room for an additional fee.

    Depart Minneapolis, Afternoon 10/14 --> Arrive Paris, Morning 10/15
    Depart Paris, Midday 10/15 --> Arrive Tel Aviv, Evening 10/15

    FROM ISRAEL:

    Depart Tel Aviv, Evening 10/21 --> Arrive Paris, Late Night 10/21
    Depart Paris, Late Morning 10/22 --> Arrive Minneapolis, Midday 10/22

    *The layover in Paris on the way back to the U.S. will require one night of accommodations, which will be paid by the St. Paul Jewish Federation, Birthright Israel, and Partnership2Gether*

    Departure flights cannot be changed under any circumstances.
    Return flights can be changed at your own expense.
