CREATIVE KINDLING SCRATCH NIGHT CALL OUT

Creative Kindling is an initiative by Wiltshire based Hinterland Theatre in association with Wiltshire Creative. It is a multi-form arts platform and conduit for local single-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary performance based artists & companies to experiment and test ideas in front of an audience and gain feedback to gauge potential for further development.  The project will kick off with an Autumn scratch night in October at Salisbury Arts Centre. Creative Kindling is curated by Hinterland's artistic director Sam Holland-Bunyan and Wiltshire based artist Dan Avery, with Wiltshire Creative providing venue, tech support and rehearsal space. Following on from your initial submission of interest (see form below) Hinterland will reach out to you to ask you to send a brief pitch of the idea you would like to explore using the theme 'VIRAL' as a prompt. Each piece should be no more than twenty minutes long and we are looking to curate four artists/companies at the first event. A shortlist will be announced in September and rehearsal slots assigned at Salisbury Playhouse and Salisbury Arts Centre with all applicants retained on a data base (with their permission) to encourage future collaboration and for future potential scratch performances in Spring, Summer and Autumn 2027. Submission Feedback & Outcome: 18th September. Creative Kindling Rehearsal Slots: 25th & 26th September + 2nd & 3rd October. Technical Rehearsal: 9th October. Rehearsal & Scratch Performance: 10th October. *Please note that the scratch evening is a curated event with all artists/performers/companies responsible for bringing together their own creative teams and running their own rehearsal slots.
