  • Dear Prospective Parent,

Thank you for your interest in Arbor Academy. I know that deciding on an environment where your child will learn and be in community with others is no small task.

Arbor Academy is not your typical learning environment.

    • Both you and your child will be seen and heard here.
    • We expect parents to use their voice to collaborate with our team in order to build the best possible experience for your child!
    • We operate on a shared promise between all members of our community to treat one another with kindness and respect.
    • Each member of the community signs a yearly communication agreement called a social contract where we spell out the specific terms together.
    • During learning times, we look for creative ways to integrate your child’s personality and learning styles into our centers.
    • We are students of your student, and we will always try to provide meaningful feedback that you can use as you help your child discover his or her gifts and talents.

Let’s face it, learning can be hard - for everyone! We aren’t promising to be a perfect community, but we do want you to be assured that when challenges arise, we’ll all be on the same team overcoming them!

Our students engage in a variety of learning styles throughout the day:

    • Independent
    • Peer-peer
    • Teacher-guided

We allow peers to help one another and learn together. We allow students to grow at their own pace. We never compare student progress to other students’ progress.

    Next Steps

    • If this sounds like the type of environment you’re seeking for your child, please continue to complete the student application.
    • If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us - we’re here to support you!

    In Christ,

    Vanessa Lopez
