A site plan is an architectural plan that depicts proposed improvements to a given lot. Such a plan of a site is a graphic representation of the arrangement of buildings, parking, drives, landscaping and any other structure that is part of a development project.

An elevation is an architectural drawing that depicts a building or structure from a vertical plane looking straight on to a building facade. In this view the structure is depicted as if you were directly in front of a building and looked straight at it.

Color Palette and Material Specifications

Upload a copy of the color palette that shows what colors will be used on the home's exterior (see the Honeybee Architectural Design Guide for examples). Homeowners should also include the specifications of the materials that they plan on using on the exterior of their home.

Confirmation of 16-inch Eaves

Upload the plan sheets (or pages) that show the dimensions of the home eaves (all eaves should be at least 16" in depth). If eave dimensions are not specifically depicted on the building plans, then the homeowner will need to attach a written confirmation from their builder. Eaves are the edges of the roof which overhang the face of the exterior walls and, normally, project beyond the side of a building. The general purpose of eaves is to shed water away from the exterior walls of the home.
