What: Switch: An exhibition of Queer Surfing
The 4th Annual SWITCH event is an expansive and non-traditional community celebration of queer, trans + non-binary expression in the waves and on the beach.
Cost to Attend: Free! This event is free to attend. RSVP below for event details and updates. Donations appreciated!
Activities: Watch the largest gathering of queer and trans surfers top and bottom the waves:) Live drag and music performances, comedy and dancing, opportunity drawings of top notch prizes, art, food and drinks, interactive activities, and more 💞 This year's Switch is part of our Arts in Cal Parks art series Beach, Please!
Accessibility: ASL interpretation provided from 1-6pm. The event is on the beach, directly in front of Parking lot A. The parking lot is paved and has wheelchair accessible sidewalks. However the surf event will be held mostly on the sand.
Covid protocol: We ask participants to take a covid test before coming, and to stay home if you are sick. Tests and masks will be provided. This event is held entirely outdoors and we encourage social distancing and masking if/ when that's not possible.
