A two-year civic leadership and workforce development pathway from Vibrant Hawaiʻi designed for Hawaiʻi Island students entering their junior year in the 2026–2027 school year.
This scholarship-based opportunity is designed for students who are ready to grow, take initiative, and contribute to their communities. Through a structured, cohort-based experience, participants build leadership skills, gain real-world experience, and step into opportunities that support both their future goals and the wellbeing of Hawaiʻi.
Grounded in ʻike from our communities and a shared commitment to ʻauamo kuleana, KōCreate: ʻOAKA supports students in understanding the systems shaping Hawaiʻi while building meaningful relationships and taking action alongside their peers.
Participants don’t just learn—they apply. Through hands-on projects, mentorship, and leadership opportunities, students gain professional skills, earn references, explore scholarship pathways, and access paid opportunities that build both their resume and their sense of purpose.
