Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Licensed Psychologist with a passion for providing the highest quality care in an institutional setting.
The Psychologist will perform psychological screenings and assessments based on review of available records and clinical interviews.
As part of a mental health team, collaborates with psychiatrists, mental health providers, physicians, nurses, social workers, and other staff to ensure integrated treatment and continuity of care.
Provides treatment by developing, implementing, and modifying individual treatment plans based on evaluation of needs and level of functioning.
Makes regular rounds in segregation or other confined housing areas to assess inmate adjustment and mental health treatment needs.
Demonstrates knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques through treatment and activities for individuals in caseload.
Provides mental health assessments, counseling, and crisis interventions to address the needs of individuals in crisis.
Consults with interdisciplinary teams including psychiatry, nursing, medical, educational, chaplain, and security staff to assess behavioral changes and mental health conditions.
Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited college or university
Experience:
Minimum of two years clinical experience, including one year in a comparable position
Must-Haves:

Current, unrestricted license to practice psychology in the state where practice occurs
Minimum of two years clinical experience, including one year in a comparable position
Valid Driver’s License
