    The Youth Civic Research Forum is a student-led nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young people to research, analyze, and engage with important civic and public policy issues. Through collaborative research projects, publications, and community events, the organization amplifies youth perspectives and promotes informed civic participation. BRIEF RUN DOWN OF OUR 2026-2027 PLAN: Carry out our first fellowship for 9th-12th graders, specifically in NYC.Fellows will be trained in methodologies of research throughout remote weekly meetings and recieve personal mentorship in writing a research paper on a political,civic or social issue/idea, which they will present at a University Research Symposium OR a Youth-led statewide conference in the summer.The committee will organize OR participate in one civic event a month in partnership with allying organizations and fellows will gain the opportunity to become honorary fellows by attending these events(Whether on the speaking panel or observing testimony). Committee Roles: • Vice president:Oversees all programming affairs and works directly alongside Executive Director • Director of Communications & Media: Manages social media, branding, and public messaging to promote the organization’s work. • Assistant Director of Communications & Media:Works alongside Director to ensure media efficiency and outreach methods are reaching the target audience • Director of Outreach:Builds relationships with schools, organizations, and community partners to expand impact.Organizes events and establishes the event schedule and outside participants •Assistant Director of Outreach:Facilitates Communication and partnerships with organizations alongside Director • Director of Civic Education:Develops educational content and initiatives to improve civic knowledge and awareness. • Assistant Director of Civic Education:Creates educational material alonside Director • Director of operations: Oversees program schedule, keeps track of fellowship progress, tracks logistics in documents•Assistant Director of Operations:Assists Director in time-keeping and organization of program operations • Editor-in-Chief:Reviews, edits, and approves all research and publications for quality and accuracy. •Assistant Editor:Aids Editor in Chief in reviewing all research material before publication • Civic Education Mentor:Supports and guides members in developing civic understanding and research skills.
