  • METRO COUPLES FELLOWSHIP COVENANT

    Metro is committed to supporting married couples by practicing gospel-focused living in the context of a married household—practical demonstrations of a living faith where Jesus is glorified. Our Couples Fellowship encourages growth in the gospel, a commitment to community (a fruitful life beyond the home), and fruit-bearing within the marriage context.

    As a result, we ask that each registrant (participant) for the Metro Couples Fellowship is a professed believer in Jesus Christ who recognizes the criticality of being a part of the church body (as a consistent congregant or member). If you do not yet profess faith in Jesus Christ or are not committed to our church community, we ask you to refrain from registering at this time.

    By voluntarily entering into the following covenant, you are formally being recognized as an integral participant of Metro Couples Fellowship.

    PURPOSE

    The Metro Couples Fellowship is made up of a pre-arranged group of registered couples in the church, referred to as Cohorts, that will be consistently engaging with one another every 8-12 weeks (about four times annually) to develop deeper relationships and mature together in faith and in marriage.

    PETITION

    Based on the limited number of gatherings and intimate group settings within the Cohort where you are matched, we request that you subscribe to the following:

    • A two-year commitment to your Cohort
    • Consistent attendance (barring illness, emergencies, etc.)
    • Punctuality (beginning and closure of the official portions of each session)
    • Confidentiality
    • Avoidance of disruptions in dialogue (charitable discussions, etc.)
    • Being present and avoidance of over-usage of phones, texts, etc.
    • Refrain from building cliques or selective social groups

     

    PLEDGE

    We subscribe to the above purpose and petitions upon entry into our Metro Couples Fellowship Cohort with hope, joy, and thanksgiving. 

    In closing, we are excited to have you join other couples at Metro in our marriage journey, together.
