Participant Agreement & Session Standards
This Participant Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between Emily Iannuzzelli (“Facilitator”) and __________________ (“Participant”) for participation in a one-on-one Embodied Focus session.
Embodied Focus is an educational, experiential session integrating improvisation, embodiment practices, and nervous system awareness. It is not therapy, medical treatment, or teacher training.
By enrolling, Participant agrees to the following:
1. SCOPE OF SESSION
Embodied Focus is:
An educational and experiential one-on-one session
A facilitated container for creative exploration and embodied presence
Embodied Focus is NOT:
Therapy or mental health treatment
Medical care or psychological counseling
A teacher training track or certification
Participation does not grant the right to teach, replicate, or adapt this work. All facilitation authority rests solely with Emily Iannuzzelli.
2. PAYMENT & COMMITMENT
This session is offered at no cost as part of a limited series of practice sessions.
By enrolling, Participant agrees to:
- Attend their scheduled session at the agreed upon time
- Honor the commitment of the reserved session slot
- Provide written feedback within 72 hours
Sessions are non-transferable. A session may be rescheduled once, and must be rescehduled before 48 hours of the original date, except in cases of emergency, at Facilitator discretion.
3. SESSION STRUCTURE & PARTICIPATION
Each session is approximately 45 minutes and held on Zoom.
Participant agrees to:
- Arrive on time for the scheduled session
- Be in a private, quiet space where they can fully participate
- Engage to the extent of their willingness and capacity
Participant understands that the value of the session is directly related to their level of engagement.
Participant understands that discomfort is not the same as unsafety and agrees to engage within their own capacity.
Participant agrees to respect the time commitment of the session - there will be a grace period of 5 minutes if arriving late to the session. If Participant does not show within 5 minutes of agreed upon start time, the session will be cancelled without an offer of reschedule.
4. SELF-RESPONSIBILITY & CONSENT
Before engaging in any suggested activity, Participant agrees to internally evaluate consent.
Participant is never required to participate in an exercise they do not consent to.
If Participant engages in an activity, it will be assumed that they have consented.
Let your yes mean yes. Let your no mean no.
5. CONTENT & EXPRESSION BOUNDARIES
This session encourages creative freedom and full self-expression.
At the same time, the following content is not permitted within the container:
Racism
Sexism
Harassment
Pedophilia or sexual content involving minors
Facilitator reserves the right to interrupt, redirect, or stop any exercise that includes harmful or inappropriate content.
Facilitator may end the session if Participant engages in behavior that violates these boundaries.
6. CONFIDENTIALITY
Because the session may draw from personal material, Participant agrees:
Not to share personal disclosures from the session in a way that misrepresents the work
To take responsibility for their own integration following the session
7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All frameworks, exercises, language, and materials are the sole intellectual property of Emily Iannuzzelli.
Participant agrees not to:
Teach, replicate, distribute, or represent this work as their own
Adapt or reproduce material in workshops, classes, or coaching
Record the session independently
This session is not a teacher training.
Participant may not use Embodied Focus or Embodied Comedy teachings in their own work without prior written consent.
8. ASSUMPTION OF RISK & LIABILITY
Participant acknowledges that the session may include:
Physical movement
Improvisational exercises
Emotional exploration
Expression work
Participant voluntarily assumes full responsibility for participation and releases Facilitator from liability for injury, loss, or damages, even in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Participant agrees not to pursue legal action related to ordinary or extraordinary risks inherent in experiential work.
Participant affirms they are mentally and emotionally capable of participating in this type of session and will seek appropriate professional support outside of this container if needed.
9. SESSION RECORDING & TESTIMONIAL CONSENT
Participant acknowledges that the session will be recorded.
By participating, Participant grants Facilitator the right to:
Record the session for educational, research, and business development purposes
Use excerpts, anonymized insights, or verbatim language for marketing, educational, or promotional materials
Participant understands that sensitive personal content will be handled with care and discernment.
Participant agrees to provide written feedback about their experience within 72 hours of the session.
Participant grants permission for this feedback to be used as a testimonial in marketing or promotional materials.
10. PROFESSIONAL BOUNDARIES
Participant agrees not to:
Represent themselves as a teacher or facilitator of this work
Market themselves as trained in this methodology
Make public statements that misrepresent or harm the work or Facilitator
11. SESSION MODIFICATIONS
Facilitator reserves the right to make reasonable adjustments to scheduling or format due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond control.
12. GOVERNING LAW
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Maryland.
13. ACKNOWLEDGMENT
By signing below, Participant acknowledges understanding of the agreements above.
