Conference - Call for Papers
Udolo Wanga Theatre Festival and Conference 2026 Call for Papers. The conference will take place in Blantyre, Malawi, alongside the festival from 21st to 25th May 2026, creating a vibrant space where theory meets practice. Conference Theme: “Breaking Barriers to Youth SRHR: Stigma, Access, Equity, Protection, Advocacy and Accountability.” This year’s conference focuses on the intersection of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) with pressing key policy issues, limited availability and accessibility of youth-friendly health services, societal stigma, and restrictive laws on adolescent access to SRHR, and weak institutional mechanisms to address sexual exploitation and abuse, including issues such as sexually transmitted diseases. With integrated areas of social and environmental issues, explored through theatre and performing arts as tools for advocacy, education, and social transformation.
