Chaperone Responsibilities:
- Assist the coaches in providing for the needs of the athletes.
- Ensure the athletes are hydrated and fed, and have the correct gear and meet information.
- Drive a van or team vehicle to pick up supplies or drive athletes back to the hotel during the meet may be required.
- Enforcing the Code of Conduct agreed to by each team member.
- In order to become a chaperone, you must become a USA Swimming non-athlete member in good-standing and complete your registration, USA Swimming background check and the online Athlete Protection Training course before June 30th, 2026. The USA Swimming non-athlete registration fee is $80.
- As chaperones cannot be distracted from their duties, family members and/or guests are not allowed to share the rooms.
