Purpose: The Links Non-STEM Scholarship is designed to support rising sophomore, junior and senior collegiate students pursuing degrees in non-STEM majors (business, education, humanities, arts, communication, etc.) This scholarship aims to recognize students who demonstrate a strong passion for community service, academic excellence, and a commitment to making a meaningful impact in the community.
Reward: A non-renewable $1,000 scholarship for financial assistance during the upcoming academic year.
Qualifications: Interested candidates must meet the following criteria to qualify for this award:
- Be a rising sophomore, junior or senior at Claflin University, SC State University, or Voorhees University
- Be pursing a major in a non-STEM-related field (business, education, humanities, arts, communication, etc.)
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
- Have a record of providing service to others through community involvement and/or extracurricular activities.
Essay Requirement: Applicants must submit a minimum 250-word essay (4-5 paragraphs) detailing their record of community involvement/service and its impact.
