Before enjoying the lake house amenities, please read and acknowledge each item below. This waiver is required for access to paddleboards, kayaks, hot tub, swimming, and other lake activities. Always use caution and follow posted rules.

Risk Acknowledgement - I acknowledge that participation in lake activities, including kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, and hot tub use, involves inherent risks, including injury, drowning, and property damage. I voluntarily choose to participate and accept these risks.

Personal Responsibility - I am responsible for my own safety at all times and agree to act with reasonable care while using the property and its amenities.

Safety Compliance - I agree to follow all posted rules and applicable boating and water-safety requirements, including personal flotation device requirements. I understand that appropriate life-jacket sizes must be requested in advance when using the Recreational Gear Rental and Pre-Staging Service and that specialty sizes are subject to availability.

Supervision of Minors - I agree to supervise minors at all times and ensure that only capable individuals use watercraft.

Emergency Notification - I agree to notify the host if emergency services are contacted or if safety equipment (including fire extinguishers) is used.

Equipment Use & Condition - I acknowledge that certain kayaks, paddleboards, and other designated flotation craft may be made available as complimentary amenities. Paddles, pedal-drive assemblies, life jackets designated for pre-staging, inflatable accessories, and other recreational gear may be provided separately through an optional Recreational Gear Rental and Pre-Staging Service. I accept responsibility for the proper use of all equipment provided to me and agree to return it in substantially the same condition in which it was provided, ordinary wear and tear excepted.

Optional Gear and Pre-Staging Service - I understand that any fee paid for the Recreational Gear Rental and Pre-Staging Service is for the rental, preparation, staging, inspection, cleaning, maintenance, organization, and availability of the selected paddles, pedal-drive equipment, life jackets, inflatables, and related gear. I understand that this fee is not a rental charge for the complimentary kayaks, paddleboards, or other designated flotation craft themselves.

Damage & Loss Responsibility - I understand that I am financially responsible for any damage, loss, or misuse of equipment during my stay. I agree that reasonable repair or replacement costs may be requested through Airbnb/vrbo/security deposit if necessary.

Group Responsibility - I accept responsibility for all members of my group and any guests using the amenities during our stay.

Assumption of Risk and Release - I understand that kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, use of inflatable equipment, docks, shorelines, hot tubs, and other lake and recreational activities involve inherent and other risks, including falls, collisions, changing water conditions, submerged objects, equipment malfunction, drowning, serious bodily injury, and death. I voluntarily assume the ordinary and inherent risks associated with my participation. To the fullest extent permitted by South Carolina law, I release and hold harmless the Owner and host from claims arising from those assumed risks. Nothing in this waiver is intended to release liability that cannot lawfully be waived or limited.
