A.I. and Buddhist Studies
This course provides instruction on the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) methodologies to canonical texts, including projects utilizing the recent English translation of The Chinese Buddhist Dictionary. Students will receive training in current software tools, ensuring they are equipped with the latest resources. The lectures will offer an overview of the history of AI, beginning with the Turing Test and progressing through significant advancements such as neural networks, up to Generative AI and large language models.
